Kira sucks her thumb!

This is a older picture but its a good one of Kira sucking her thumb.. She has been doing that for a while but I never got a good picture of her doing it.. So here you go. I love it because she can sooth herself when I put her down for naps and bed.. It works every time.

Kari's Birthday

well yesterday was my 23rd birthday.. I woke up and took care of Kira and then Sione made me breakfast. It was going to be breakfast in bed but that didnt work out too well.. After that I went to get a pedicure and took my mother-in-law with me. It was tons of fun. it forgot how much it tickles my feet!
Then we came back and Sione gave me his present and we had lunch.. He was planning on taking me on a picnic for lunch but he couldn't find something for it so we didn't end up going.
We started a game of cashflow and then got ready to go to a "surprise" party for me and Masi, loreens husband, he has the same birthday as me.
We had cake and ice cream over there and visited with them..
We came home and then finished the cashflow game.. that took us till almost 2 am. so that was intense.. im way tired today..
i won the game though. so that was a nice b-day present.. i was able to buy my dream of see all the 7 seven wonders of the world.. Its a fun game. takes a bit of patience to learn how to play but lots of fun once you start and understand better!
So that was my day.. not too bad.. oh ya by the way sione gave me a "million dollars" for my birthday!

CA and SEATTLE

so on june 5th my friend karinne Edling was having a bridal shower at my parents house.. So with the nice flying benefits i have now, i was able to go down to it and i was able to see my friends and family.. It was lots of fun.. i finally got to see Carli's little boy, Jordan, i havent seen him since we left utah in july of 07. so that was really cool..

I left my parents on the 6th and went up to my Mark and Karina's house in Lincoln, Ca. i stayed there till the 10th June.. I had tons of fun. they loved seeing Kira.. I was able to see Brett's baseball game.. it seems like every time i go up there i see brett play baseball so that was tons of fun..

then i came to seattle and Sione met me there. Karl and Stephanie picked us up from the airport and we went and toured Seattle.. That was tons of fun because i have never been in the heart of Seattle. They told us that Seattle used to be an underground city. That was neat.. we went on the space needle.. We stayed in seattle a few more nights and one night we stayed at Karl's place.. We went out to Sione's uncle's house just south of Tacoma and they got to meet Kira so it was a very fun trip.. Sione finally was able to fly with me and Kira.. So that was great to have help.

2nd year anniversary

So for our 2nd year anniversary Sione took me to a Trace Adkins concert.. It was soo much fun.. We went with a few friends.
The tickets we had were seats on the floor..So we got to walk up to the stage and take pictures. There were some crazy people there but we lived..
We had tons of fun..
Sione tried to surprise me about the concert but i found out. I had a feeling we were going to go and then at dinner one night sione's dad asked sione what day they were going to babysit and that ruined it from there! i for sure knew then.. But its ok.. i was surprised once i found out!! :)

4 month check up and shots

Kira had her doctors appt. on the 15th May 2008

she weighed 15 pounds even 75% and is 24 3/4 inches tall 50%.

She is a perfect little girl.. Very active, very responsive and she had to get her shots

she did alright once the needle went in her she started to cry but then settled down pretty quickly after that.. the rest of the day she was so happy..

then that night came and she was starting to feel the shots. she was a grumpy little girl.. We had to give her more medicine to help with the pain..
She finally settled down enough to get some sleep.. and the next day she felt much better..

Kira rolled over

So kira has been experimenting the whole rolling over thing.. About a week and a half ago Kira rolled over in her bassinet and then did it again later that week..

Last night i put her to sleep around 9 pm on her stomach, as usual, and at 11pm she woke up, i looked in her bassinet and she was on her back.. it was cute because i got really excited. I put her on her stomach and she fell back to sleep.. Around 2 am when she woke up to eat i found her on her back again.. so that was twice in one night..

This morning just to experiment and hoping the rolling over in the bassinet was not a fluke, i put her on our bed to see and she did it three times.. So officially Kira has rolled over.. she hit a milestone.. It is so cute to watch her figure it out and do it on purpose..

I took her upstairs to show everyone else..

Kira at 4 months old

Kira is 4 months old and is discovering lots of new things.. A few things that I have noticed is she just recently found her tongue.. it is very cute to watch her feel her gums and lips.. She likes to laugh and she loves to suck on her hands.. Its a great soother for her.. She loves to sit in the exersaucer.. She went on her first plane ride and trip.. We went to California to visit my family and to go to Tara's baptism and attend Baby Jacob's blessing in St. George.. Kira did great on the plane and in the car..
