Samantha getting her adenoids taken out and tubes put in June 2013

The day we got back from our trip we had to take Samantha into the hospital to get her adenoids taken out and tubes put in. The surgery is pretty simple but its still scary for your child to go under.  She did great before the surgery, the worst part was when she was starting to wake up from the anesthesia. She was so mad and just wanted the IV out of her hand. we finally got her to drink and she was able to get the IV out.  she then fell asleep with me on the recovery bed.

More California Trip

After enjoying a few days in Norco visiting family and friends, we went to Mission Viejo and hung out with my sister and her family.  It was so normal being back in Mission Viejo, didn't even feel like we left. The Friday we got there my sister, Cyndie,  threw a welcome back party for some friends and family  in MIssion viejo. It was so good to see friends again and catch up.
We were able to see Cole's piano recital and Vaughn's preschool graduation the weekend we were in MIssion Viejo.  They did awesome and im so proud of them.
After the weekend we drove up to Utah to witness the setting apart of Lei and Lori, to be Mission President and Wife of the Tongan mission.  What an amazing experience that was. They were set apart by Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the quorum of the twelve.  What an spiritual giant he is.
We spent about a day with Sione's family before we headed back down to California.  While in Utah we were able to see my two brothers Kent and Eric and his family that live in Orem, and my friend Tawny. It was good to see family and friends there too... On this trip we were able to see all of my siblings but 1.  What a blessing that was for me and my family.   on the drive back to California, we stopped to see my Brother Brad and his family in St. George.  and Then my Brother Robert and his family in Victorville.  What a road trip that was. it was fast and long but so glad we did it. The girls had a blast.

Samantha is 2

Better late than never!! :) I wrote this in my journal so not sure if all the sentences work out or if these make sense but here it is...in my journal I usually write down my thoughts without thinking too much about word and sentence comprehension.. :)

Wow today my beautiful youngest little girl is 2. I cant believe it. She is such a cuddle bug. Samantha loves to cuddle, she is learning so much every day. Samantha is saying so many things. the list is way to long to write down. but I have been keeping track.  She is talking like crazy, its not all understandable but she knows exactly what she is saying.. she will be talking in no time. I cant remember what her stats were at her doctors appt, where she got one shot and the flu mist, and did great, but I do have her WIC appt. stats which was only a few days later.  11/1/2012: Height: 32 7/8  weight: 30 lbs.   she is 25th percentile for heights and 95 for weight... she is growing just perfect.  She jumps and spins and loves to dance. she will run and get her tutu when there is music so she can dance.. She loves yo gabba gabba and Dora. and Barney. I just love when she says I love you.  she knows she is two years old so when we try to teach her to count she just wants to say 2.. i guess we will keep working on it.
Samantha is so lovable, she is starting to want to wrestle with Kira and its fun to watch.  She can be so rough but knows when to say sorry. She has an attitude and temper but can switch to my sweet heart just like that.

Kira is 40 1/8 tall and 38lbs.   that was her last WIC appt.
I love my girls so much...

Sione passed the test!

Great news, Sione passed his real estate exam!! YAY  we are soo excited.. he cant wait to get started and become a great realtor for Juneau.  ...So proud of you!

so a little update:

August 2012-

Sammy can say the car, or our car, tries to get dressed and undress all by herself. Almost draws a circle, I have to see if she can still do it.. maybe it was a fluke.
Says Ya for almost anything.

September 2012

Kira started preschool on the 4th. She loves it so far. there are some mornings where she isnt quite up for it but most mornings she is excited to start her day.. When she gets to class she writes her name and then they have carpet time till all the students get there then take roll and do a math lesson then I think its craft and free play.. I havent stayed long enough to know what they do the rest of the time... but my plan is to go in.
Kira likes to use the word Awesome.
Samantha says EIEIO for the  old MacDonald song.
Samantha says bear and growls like one.
Kira can fold her tongue like a taco (4 1/2)
Samantha says where are you? and counts to 3
she also says Kira, candy, No,
1st day of preschool

signing in for school

taco tongue
October 2012 (so far its only the 12th)

Samantha says uh oh, and whoa
Says dont, I want that, GIGI for (great grandma), cousins, and frog
We took Samantha's pacifier away for good.. She has done alright.. she cries when we put her down and wakes up at least once during nap and once during bedtime but thats not too bad...
we started the process of potty training also.. she recognized when she pees and poops in her diaper so that is a start.. I just need to buy the training underpants and go from there.. Samantha sat on the potty for 30 minutes yesterday.. finally she went.. I think she is scared, its different and she's not sure about the whole thing.. once we convince her its ok I think she will do great.. I know accidents will happen and Im expecting that, Ill need to work on my patience..
Kira loves Art, play do, coloring, painting, drawing.. I really want to keep her interested in that talent and help her refine it..

6 year Anniversary

Wow how time flies... I know I have skipped from October 2011 till now but there is soo much to post about I feel very overwhelmed.. And the the problem is there are some big events that have happened during those "lost" months... so I will get to them, I just dont know when...
So yesterday Sione and I celebrated our 6th year of marriage...We had a wonderful day and evening.  We started the day with a wonderful workout, and donuts.. Then the community was putting on a family fun day at Twin Lakes, so we decided to go check it out.  It wasn't raining and the sun was kind of out but it was windy so I was cold.  But Kira had fun, she painted a picture and got her face painted.
After the girls rested up Sione and I took them to Sione's cousins house where Loreen was. We dropped the girls off so Sione and I could go on our date.
The plans for our date were dinner and a movie. But then as we were driving downtown we thought of an idea of going on the tram and having dinner at the restaurant at the top of Mt. Roberts.  Im glad we did it, we had tons of fun and it felt a little more anniversaryish then just a mexican restaurant, which we will get to someday.
I love Sione with all my heart and I am thankful for the man that he is.  Its amazing how much a spouse can influence for the good.  Im excited to spend the rest of my life with Sione and as much as I am curious about the future plans, I know we will stay strong.
